Personalized collars go beyond just stitching a name to a collar. I try to add a design to compliment the name.

When
Daytona's human named her she was thinking ...summer fun, beach and
ocean... but the fact that she is a whippet.... the racing flags and
Daytona races were also played upon.

insists that she is a princess... so glass slippers and a tiara seemed
appropriate. I used a silver gray thread but then went over th e
stitching again with a silver metallic. Metallic thread does break
easily... so I figured that the silver thread underneath would still
tell the story long after the metallic was gone.

A stack of the old vinyl to the left of Elvis' name... to
the right are blue suede shoes. Elvis loved his collar to
wear his collar so this spring he needed a new one... this
one features some of his top hits ... embroidered on blue
suede.
Although
only one of this litter had a name... Guss... the rest of the pups were
all sent home with a combo collar/lead... pinky red for the girls...and
blue for the boys... and bunnies...because... what better for a hound?
 Dante... our ball of fire whippet needed his own smaller collar/lead combo.
